Branch Christmas Dinner
It is amazing to think that it is already 2009. Time most certainly has flown by. I didn't even get to blog anything in December because I have been in and out of the hospital with complications with my Crohn's disease. The doctors think that my intestines are all twisted and jumbled up and the only way to even see if that is for sure is to go in surgically. Tomorrow I meet with the surgeon and discuss the options. I am nervous and scared but I am just going to have to trust in Heavenly Father to take care of the situation. This afternoon our Home Teacher came over to administer the Sacrament to me and my brother.
That is another thing that has happened since the last time I wrote, my brother Jonathan now lives with us. He is staying with us for a few months while we get his health issues and his personal business taken care of. He is working really hard so that he can get custody of his daughter from the State of Oregon. Long story as to why he doesn't have her, but it does not have anything to do with abuse at all. He has never and will never harm his daughter in any way. He loves her and takes good care of her.
Jonathan came here in time for Christmas and New Year's. Christmas was simple and we focused more on what Christmas is really about. We had Christmas dinner with Lisa and Buster. It was really nice, Buster smoked another turkey and there was tri tip as well. I am thankful that they adopted us into their family because they really do mean a lot to me. I would do anything for them.
In December I had ear surgery and throat surgery because my ear was so infected that the ear drum was bulging and the infection wasn't clearing up after 5 rounds of antibiotics. Thankfully Dr.Todd was able to go in and do the surgery which has helped out a lot. The only thing is that I have pharangytis still which he said will last for a couple of months.
I am so thankful for the gospel and for the priesthood. It most certainly has brought me strength and blessings to get through the good and bad times that we all face in this life. I know that as I continue doing my part in gospel living that the things I have to learn while here on earth will be handled and I can endure till the end.
