So much has been going on since the last time I posted anything.
I had the wonderful opportunity to take a train trip with Lisa to meet Cari in New Mexico so she wouldn't have to make the drive all by herself to Oregon. We had fun. It was hard though to say goodbye once again. I love that family very much. They have become a part of our family and even though they are in Texas I am glad that we still keep in touch via the internet and cell phones.
Peggie moved to Utah and so far is doing well. I am so proud of her for taking such a huge step and trusting in the guidance and direction from Heavenly Father, even if it meant making some difficult decisions. It is amazing to see how much she has grown spiritually throughout this whole process. She is definitely a great example.
Kendra is getting married in September. She seems really happy and has blossomed a lot since the move last September. I am so proud of her and happy for her.
Holly and Gabe moved to Texas with Cari and Ken. I know that she will be happier being close to her mom and I know that Cari will be happier with one of her grandbabies living close enough to see him every day. I am so happy for them.
Since everyone has left except Lisa. I have been trying to spend some time with Lisa but it is hard because of the meds I am on I can't drive while on them and living 20 minutes from town Lisa doesn't have enough gas to come out here to visit as much either. But it is good the few times we do get to spend together. She is doing really well and I am proud of her too. Her garden is so beautiful. She has truly succeeded in life as well. I am so proud of all of those Kiger girls and all that they have accomplished. I know that they are going to accomplish much more with their lives and I will be cheering for them from the sidelines.
Now my brother Jonathan, he received a certificate yesterday for successfully completing his Relapse Prevention class and I am so proud of him for it. I hope that he takes that information and applies it in his every day life. He mentioned to me yesterday that after this pack of smokes is done he wants to try the stop smoking program that the missionaries taught him that helped him to quit smoking before. I pray that he will be able to quit smoking without getting cranky.
I have been working on my self improvement and am hoping that by my birthday in October that I will have dropped a majority of the weight.
That's most of the updating that I can think of. I hope that everyone else is doing well. Until next time....heads up and hearts strong :)
